You can write down everything you’re thinking about and look at the list to decide what’s important and what’s not. This is a good way to download things and clear your mind.

Breathing

It’s a good idea to take time out and practice breathing, meditating. Just 5-10 minutes can make a big difference to your day. Focus on your breathing and relax for this time.  Slowing your breath can help reset your body and mind with a lower heart rate.

Hydrate

It’s important to make sure you’re hydrating properly throughout the day. Our bodies are made up of 70% water that needs replacing. Drinking clean water is ideal. Try to reduce your caffeine intake and soft drinks too. These dehydrate your body so water is your best friend.

Move

If you have an office job, you’re probably sitting all day. It’s important to move throughout the day to keep your body active and free up your joints and muscles. Simply sitting you can stretch your legs and glutes. Go for a walk during your lunch break to get your heart rate up clear your mind too.

Nutrition

Eating well is super important in supporting your fitness goals. Having the right nutrients in your body supports muscle growth and your organs. Some foods and beverages like sugar, gluten, alcohol can deplete your body of good nutrients and cause you to put on weight. You can speak with a nutritionist to find out what’s best for your body type and make a shopping list of good foods.

Sleep

Getting a good night’s sleep is also important to help your body recover. If you’re working out, your body will need recovery time to reset and adjust to your inputs. It’s recommended you get at least eight (8) hours of sleep per night. Avoiding stimulants later in the day such as sugar, caffeine will help.
